March, 2022

Emergent Space Technologies, Inc. (Emergent) was awarded a subcontract by Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) to support NASA’s Engineering and Technology Directorate on the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) Electrical Systems Engineering Services (ESES) III contract. Under this contract, SSAI provides electrical/electronic engineering support services and related work to the Engineering and Technology Directorate at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. The work includes the study, design, development, fabrication, integration, testing, verification and operations of spaceflight, airborne and ground system hardware, and software, including development and validation of new technologies to enable future space and science missions.

Under its subcontract to SSAI, Emergent will provide Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) and Electrical Engineering services for various GN&C sensor systems, as well as provide maintenance and implement upgrades to the Formation Flying Testbed (FFTB). Additionally, Emergent will provide electrical and computer engineering support to the SmallSats Development Lab (SDL) and associated CubeSat missions. “Emergent is pleased to partner with NASA and SSAI to continue our successful history of developing state-of-the-art GN&C systems for spaceflight missions,” commented Jaime Kline, Director of Technical Services.
